Brac island is one of the most popular islands in Croatia, and you need to visit these stunning beaches on Brac while you’re there!
A lot of people choose to spend more than just a few days on Brac, and it’s easy to see why. The island is absolutely stunning and a lot more laid-back than coastal towns like Split or Makarska. Brac has plenty of hidden corners and peaceful spots you can explore while you’re there. That said, even if you’re short on time, a day trip is still totally worth it. You won’t see it all, but you’ll get a great taste of Brac, which is still great.

5 GREAT BEACHES ON BRAC – BOL VERSION!
All of these beaches are long, pebbly stretches with great amenities. They’re also just a short walk from the center of Bol. You really can’t go wrong with any of them, but since you probably won’t have time to visit them all, check out the descriptions below to find the one that suits you best.
Just a heads up: We took these photos in the off-season. That means you won’t see all the sunbeds, beach bars, and other summer facilities. However, they’re all there when the season starts!

ZLATNI RAT BEACH
Zlatni Rat is easily one of the most iconic beaches in all of Croatia, so if you only have time for one beach on Brac, make it this one. You might also hear it called the Golden Horn Beach. It’s located just west of Bol and really easy to reach. If you’re up for a walk, there’s a beautiful shaded promenade that takes about 25–30 minutes on foot. You’ll get a nice walk and some incredibly scenic views along the way. If you’re not in the mood to walk, you can take the tourist train that runs between Bol and the beach.
Zlatni Rat is famous for its unique shape, a narrow stretch of white pebbles that extends into the Adriatic, with the tip of the beach that shifts with the wind and tides. Just behind the beach, there’s a shaded pine forest where you’ll find laid-back beach bars and cafés. These are perfect for cooling off after hours in the sun. The vibe here is really relaxed, but you’ll still have all the amenities you need. There’s plenty of sunbeds and parasols to rent, plus there are showers and toilets nearby. If you’re up for a bit of adventure, there are tons of water activities you can try, like parasailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding.
If you’re visiting in the summer, this beach is an absolute must, there’s really nothing else like it!

BORAK BEACH
Borak Beach is another popular pebble beach located near Bol. It’s actually situated right in between the center of Bol and the Zlatni Rat beach. You can reach it in 15 minutes from Bol, so it can be a great option if you don’t feel like walking to Zlatni Rat (although you should!).
This beach is smaller than Zlatni Rat, but it’s known for its clear, shallow waters and natural shade from the pine trees. It’s a really great spot for families with children. This beach also has excellent amenities, and you’ll find everything you need there. It is well-equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas, changing cabins, showers, and toilets. Nearby, there’s the Borak Beach Restaurant where you can grab meals and drinks just steps away from your lounge chair. Borak beach is another hotspot for water sports, so you can try windsurfing, kitesurfing, and stand-up paddleboarding. All the equipment rentals and training is available on or near the beach!

KOTLINA BEACH
Kotlina Beach is a truly stunning pebble beach, located on the opposite side of Bol and Zlatni Rat. It’s just a 15-minute walk from Bol, but it’s also easily accessible by car with a large parking lot nearby. If you’re looking for a quieter alternative to Zlatni Rat, this is a great option. However, don’t expect complete solitude, since it’s still quite popular.
The beach is home to crystal-clear, shallow waters and perfect white pebbles, so it’s ideal for families with kids or anyone who enjoys a gentle, easy entrance into the sea. There’s natural shade from the surrounding trees, and the beach is well-equipped with amenities. You can rent sun loungers and umbrellas, and enjoy a meal or drink at Ribarska Kućica, a charming restaurant and bar housed in a traditional stone building. It’s the perfect spot to try some traditional Dalmatian cuisine while enjoying the beach!

DOMINICAN BEACH
Dominican Beach, also known as Bijela Kuća Beach after the abandoned hotel nearby, is one of the most beautiful spots on the island. It’s located between Kotlina Beach and Martinica Beach, and it offers breathtaking views of the Dominican Monastery. It’s easily accessible by foot or car, just like Kotlina Beach. The soft pebbles and crystal-clear waters will make you never want to leave.
It’s a popular beach, so don’t be surprised if it’s never completely empty. There are no amenities here, so be sure to bring your own umbrellas. If you need food, you can take a short walk into town and grab something, or pack your own!

MARTINICA BEACH
Martinica Beach is a gorgeous pebbly spot located on the other side of the Dominican Monastery. It offers a more peaceful beach experience for those looking to completely relax. The beach has rocky edges and rich marine life, so it’s a great option if you love snorkeling. There’s not much natural shade, so be sure to bring your own umbrellas. While the beach doesn’t offer many amenities, its close to Bol’s town center so you can easily head to nearby cafés and restaurants. You can reach the beach with a 20-minute walk from Bol or by car, with a large parking lot just 5 minutes away!
