BEST DUBROVNIK HOTELS FOR EVERY BUDGET: MY RECOMMENDATIONS (2026)

If you’re searching for the best Dubrovnik hotels within your budget, here’s a list of places I recommend as a local Croatian!

If you’re planning a trip to Croatia, Dubrovnik will surely be one of your favourite stops. Every year, thousands of people visit the city, which means finding a nice place to stay, especially during high season, can be quite challenging. If you’re travelling on a budget, it can be even harder, since Dubrovnik is known for being quite expensive.

That’s exactly why I decided to put together this list of the best hotels, hostels, and apartments in Dubrovnik for every budget. Whether you’re looking for luxury stays like Rixos Premium or Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik, or you’re backpacking and need something affordable like Hostel Sea Breeze, this guide will be your best friend!

CRITERIA FOR CHOOSING HOTELS

To show you realistic prices for the summer season, I checked the rates on Booking.com for a one-night stay on a weekend in July. Keep in mind that prices can be much lower if you choose to visit in another season.

I’ve divided the accommodations into three categories: luxury (over €350 per night), mid-range (€200–€350 per night), and budget-friendly (€200 and under per night).

So… let’s start searching!

BEST DUBROVNIK HOTELS: LUXURY

Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik – 5 stars

Hotel Bellevue is a stunning 5-star hotel located just one kilometre from the Old Town, which means you can enjoy a peaceful stay outside the crowds while still being able to walk there in about 20 minutes. Honestly, it’s one of the most luxurious hotels in Dubrovnik, so if it fits your budget, you definitely won’t regret staying here.

The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and one of the best things is that the beach is literally just a minute away. The hotel also has excellent restaurants and a wine bar offering an amazing selection of wines and champagne. The staff truly go above and beyond, and you can even arrange a limo transfer from the airport to the hotel. If you’re looking for true luxury in Dubrovnik, Bellevue is the place to be.

PRICING: from 900 euros per night

Hotel Excelsior – 5 stars

Another incredible 5-star hotel in Dubrovnik is Hotel Excelsior. It’s located right by the sea, so most rooms offer stunning views of the sea. The rooms are cozy, modern, and very comfortable, so it’s easy to relax after a day of exploring.

If you don’t feel like spending all your time at the beach or in your room, you can enjoy the hotel’s spa and indoor pool. One of the biggest advantages is its location! The Old Town is only about a 5-minute walk away, which makes Excelsior a perfect base for sightseeing. The hotel also has several excellent restaurants, all with beautiful sea views, so dining here is definitely an extra highlight of your stay.

PRICING: from 950 euros per night

Rixos Premium Dubrovnik – 5 stars

Only about fifteen minutes from the Old Town and just five minutes from the beach, Rixos Premium Dubrovnik is, in my opinion, one of the prettiest hotels in the city. The rooms are luxurious and modern, and if you choose a sea-view room, you’ll truly be left speechless.

The hotel offers everything you could want for a perfect stay, including an incredible spa, indoor and outdoor pools, and even a tennis court. Everything is designed to make guests feel pampered and relaxed, so I’m absolutely sure you would be obsessed with your stay here.

PRICING: from 475 euros per night

Valamar Argosy Hotel – 4 stars

This big, modern, and luxurious hotel definitely belongs in the luxury category. Here, you’ll get an incredible, spacious room with a beautiful ensuite bathroom and plenty of comfort.

The hotel is located around 6 kilometres from the Old Town, so if you want a similar level of luxury as the previously mentioned hotels but at a more affordable price, this more remote option is a great choice. It also offers fantastic amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, and an on-site restaurant. On top of all that, the beach is only a three-minute walk away, making this hotel perfect for a relaxing stay in Dubrovnik.

PRICING: from 350 euros per night

Hotel More – 5 stars

With only a one-minute walk to the beach, you’ll easily enjoy every moment of your stay at Hotel More. While it’s not the closest hotel to the Old Town (it’s about 3.5 kilometres away), most rooms offer wonderful sea views, which more than make up for the distance.

The hotel has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, including a pool, a spa, and two excellent restaurants, so dining and relaxing are completely taken care of. The rooms aren’t the most modern, but if you book a sea-view suite, you’ll be absolutely charmed. The views alone make this hotel truly special.

PRICING: from 600 euros per night

Prijeko Palace – 4 stars

This incredible place is located right inside the Old Town! People often say it’s unreal how good the value for money is, especially considering it’s only 50 metres from Stradun, Dubrovnik’s main street, right in the heart of the city.

The rooms are charming and full of character, completely different from the modern and often sterile hotels you see today. If you’re looking for something truly special and memorable, this is the place for you. Plus, the nearest beach is only about 600 metres away, so you’ll have everything within easy reach.

PRICING: from 550 euros per night

BEST DUBROVNIK HOTELS: AVERAGE-PRICED

Clouds Boutique Guesthouse – 3 stars

Right in the heart of the Old Town, you’ll find Clouds Boutique Guesthouse. Located just 500 metres from Stradun, this lovely accommodation offers modern, clean, and comfortable rooms with a bed, private bathroom, and a small seating area.

It’s also only about 100 metres from the Old Port, where you can easily catch a boat to Lokrum or Cavtat for a fun day trip. If you’d like to explore further, you can even arrange car rentals nearby. Clouds Boutique Guesthouse is a great choice if you want a central location, comfort, and easy access to some of Dubrovnik’s best excursions.

PRICING: from 290 euros per night

Apartments and Rooms Villa Naida – 4 stars

These very modern rooms are located close to the Dubrovnik port and main bus station, which makes them super convenient if you’re arriving by bus or ferry. The accommodation also has a lovely shared terrace with beautiful sea views, which many Booking.com guests absolutely loved.

While it’s not as close to the Old Town as some other places on this list, it still offers great comfort and excellent value for money, especially if you’re looking for something modern and well-connected.

PRICING: from 270 euros per night

Bova Luxury Rooms – 4 stars

These incredibly beautiful and modern rooms are located in Lapad and are perfect if you want a comfortable and relaxing stay. They’re about 2 kilometres from the Old Town, but with restaurants just a five-minute walk away, you won’t be missing out on anything. When you want to explore the Old Town, it’s only a five-minute bus or Uber ride.

Guests also love the host, who is said to be fantastic, and the rooms are just a few minutes from the beach. This makes it a great choice if you want comfort, convenience, and easy access to both the city and the sea.

PRICING: from 250 euros per night

BEST DUBROVNIK HOTELS: AFFORDABLE

Hostel Sea Breeze

This is a beautiful, clean hostel with a fantastic location! It’s only about a 20-minute walk from the Old Town and right next to the main bus station and a grocery store. If you’re looking for a really affordable, safe, and tidy place to stay, this is excellent value for money.

Since it’s quite small, with only three rooms, it’s not a loud, crowded hostel but a cozy and quiet one with a great host. This is easily one of the cheapest accommodations on this list, perfect for budget travellers who still want comfort and convenience.

PRICING: from 70 euros per night

The View – 3 stars

Another wonderful apartment with an incredible view of Dubrovnik! Honestly, the balcony alone is worth the price, but this apartment has so many more advantages. It has a 9/10 rating on Booking.com for a reason.

At The View, you also get a free parking space, which is amazing in Dubrovnik since parking can be extremely expensive. Plus, it’s only about 550 metres from Sulic Beach, making it perfect if you want a mix of sea views, convenience, and comfort. *As of this year, unfortunately, the increased prices mean it’s now more in the average-priced category rather than affordable 😔.

PRICING: from 270 euros per night

Dubrovnik Rooms 2 – 3 stars

These rooms are very modest, and the interior isn’t anything like the other hotels on this list, but this is by far the cheapest option you’ll find. Believe it or not, you can stay in Dubrovnik for only €117! The accommodation is about 2.5 kilometres from the Old Town, so it a budget-friendly choice if you don’t mind a short commute.

PRICING: from 117 euros euros per night

MY PERSONAL TAKE – BEST DUBROVNIK HOTELS

Unfortunately, if you’re visiting Dubrovnik in the summer, finding truly affordable accommodation is almost impossible. It took me ages to find places that looked decent for their prices. The most luxurious hotels are absolutely stunning, but honestly, I could never justify paying over €900 for a single night. Anywhere, not just in Dubrovnik.

If you want luxury without going overboard, I’d definitely choose Rixos. It’s a very reasonable price for such an incredibly luxurious hotel. The mid-range options are all great, they give you the most affordable way to enjoy a comfortable, modern stay. The budget options are scarce and really just cover the basics, so don’t expect too much if that’s what you’re booking!

CONCLUSION: BEST DUBROVNIK HOTELS

No matter your budget, Dubrovnik has something for everyone, from luxurious 5-star hotels with amazing sea views to affordable apartments and hostels. Luxury hotels like Bellevue, Excelsior, or Rixos are perfect if you want to treat yourself, while mid-range and budget options still give comfort, convenience, and easy access to the Old Town and beaches. If you plan ahead, especially for the busy summer months, you’ll have no problem finding a great place.
