WHERE TO STAY IN ZADAR, CROATIA: AMAZING HOTELS IN ZADAR FOR A PERFECT HOLIDAY
If you’re visiting Zadar this summer, these are some of the best hotels in Zadar to stay at. This post will help you find the perfect one for your trip!
Zadar is one of Croatia’s more popular summer destinations, so many visitors book their accommodation early to make sure they get a good place to stay. Zadar also doesn’t have many hotels inside the Old Town. It’s mostly apartment-based, so some of these hotels are located in the Old Town, while others are just outside of it.
Hotels in Zadar Old Town are perfect if you want to be right in the centre of everything, close to sights, restaurants, and nightlife. Hotels outside the Old Town are a great choice if you’re looking for more peace and quiet, but still want easy access to the coast and the city.
All of these hotels are worth your time and money, and no matter which one you choose, you’ll have a great stay. Zadar is a beautiful city, and the right accommodation can make your visit to Croatia even better. Keep reading to see my favourite hotels in and around Zadar.
WHERE TO STAY IN ZADAR
I divided these hotels into four categories. Two are Zadar Old Town and Zadar outside the Old Town, which are both more or less in the heart of everything that’s happening during the summer. The other two are Petrcane, a small village near Zadar, and Ugljan, an island close to Zadar. These two options are perfect if you want a calmer atmosphere, while still being able to visit Zadar whenever you feel like enjoying a bit more excitement.

ZADAR OLD TOWN
Almayer Art & Heritage Adults Only Hotel
If you want to stay right in the heart of Zadar’s Old Town, Almayer Art & Heritage Hotel is a really great option. You’ll be able to walk to Zadar’s main sights, while still enjoying a quiet, adults-only atmosphere at the hotel. The rooms are modern, air-conditioned, and very comfortable, with beautiful walk-in showers.
When you’re not out exploring Zadar, you can relax in the garden or on the terrace, or enjoy a drink or a meal at the hotel’s bar and restaurant. This hotel is perfect for anyone who wants to be in the centre of everything, but still completely disconnect and relax once they’re back at their hotel.

Shops, restaurants, the ferry port, and the beach are all very close. That means you can explore Zadar completely on foot. CONCLUSION: BEST HOTELS IN ZADAR
All of these are absolutely incredible, so choosing one shouldn’t be too hard. I’d personally either choose Almayer Art & Heritage Adults Only Hotel, Hotel Preko, or Hotel Pinija. As I’ve already mentioned, we stayed at Hotel Pinija and absolutely loved it, and it’s only a short drive away from Zadar, but much calmer than staying in the city centre.
