If you’re looking for a great Korcula boat trip that takes you out to sea and lets you enjoy the incredible crystal-clear water, I have the perfect recommendation for you!

We just finished our visit to Korcula, our third visit this year!, and we got the opportunity to enjoy a boat tour in collaboration with Korkyra INFO. We’ve done quite a few of their tours before, including their buggy tour and wine tour, so we already knew we’d love this one too. However, it was actually even better than we expected! You can book the tour directly on their website or through GetYourGuide, but keep reading to find out more about the tour.

WHY DO A BOAT TRIP FROM KORCULA?

Korcula is an amazing island with crystal-clear sea, and if you want to explore more of the coast, taking a boat tour is one of the best ways to experience it and make the most of your time there. The coastline around Korcula is full of beautiful bays, crystal-clear water, hidden beaches, and small islands that are much easier to reach by boat. You can spend the day swimming and snorkelling in places you wouldn’t be able to reach by car, enjoy a relaxed lunch by the sea, and just experience the Croatian coast from the water. When you combine all that, a boat trip is definitely something I’d recommend adding to your Korcula itinerary.

WHY CHOOSE THIS KORCULA BOAT TRIP?

This boat tour is organised by a local travel agency, Korkyra INFO, and they organise plenty of other tours on Korcula, which are all rated highly. They’ve been doing these tours for years, so you can count on an experienced and fun local tour. This tour is 7 hours long, and during those 7 hours, you get to enjoy the views from an open, comfortable boat, plenty of food and drinks, and lots of different swimming stops along the way. So, for anyone who wants to enjoy the sea from a totally different perspective than just being on the beach, this tour is perfect for you!

You can book it through their website for the best available price, and if you use my code KARLATYPES5, you can get an additional 5% off. They’ve also just added the tour to GetYourGuide, so you can book it below!

KORCULA BOAT TRIP: ITINERARY

STARTING POINT – KORCULA OLD TOWN

The starting point of this tour is in Korcula Old Town. If you’re staying in the Old Town, you’ll need to get to the Korkyra INFO agency, and from there, they’ll take you to the boat. If you’re staying outside the Old Town, they can pick you up if you’re within 5 km of Korcula Old Town. The majority of people on our tour were picked up directly from their accommodation, and there were even people who arrived by taxi from Orebic on Peljesac, which was quite surprising to me!

FIRST STOP – MOKALO SHIPWRECK

Once you get on the boat, it takes around 30 minutes to reach the first stop, which is a pretty unique one, the Mokalo shipwreck. During the ride to the shipwreck, you get to try various Croatian spirits and liquors. The shipwreck is called Mokalo because it’s located near Mokalo Beach on Peljesac. This was quite a fun experience, and my partner especially loved it because he loves snorkelling!

The shipwreck is quite huge, so you could easily spend a lot of time snorkelling around it, and we had around 30 minutes to enjoy the sea here. You get snorkelling gear from the crew, but you can also bring your own. Unfortunately, we don’t have any underwater photos, so you’ll have to come and see it for yourself! After our snorkelling session, we had drinks and snacks waiting for us, which was a great addition after swimming!

SECOND STOP – MORO BEACH CLUB & BLUE LAGOON

The second stop is a stunning blue lagoon near Stupe, a small but lovely island near Korcula. You don’t actually get to go to the island, but trust me, you won’t even want to when you see the blue lagoon! It’s quite shallow, around 2–5 metres in most places, and it’s perfect for snorkelling. The water was absolutely incredible and crystal clear, and you get around 30 minutes to enjoy the spot. You get snorkelling gear from the crew again, and then you can just relax and enjoy the beautiful sea!

THIRD STOP – BADIJA ISLAND & LUNCH

Your third stop is only a few minutes away from the blue lagoon, and it’s the magnificent Badija Island. Badija is quite a special island and a very popular day trip from Korcula. We’ve visited it a few times before, and each time it’s very special. There are plenty of deer on the island that roam around freely, so you can see them and take photos, but don’t feed them!

Afterwards, you can explore the monastery and head to the beach. We had around 1.5 hours here because, the moment we arrived at Badija, the crew started preparing our lunch. We spent the majority of our time on the beach, and when we returned, lunch was almost ready.

Lunch here was honestly way beyond our expectations. You can choose whether you’d like fish or meat, and you get various grilled vegetables and bread along with it. The portions are plentiful, and the crew is constantly trying to fill up your plate again. We honestly couldn’t even eat everything we got on our plates! You definitely get more than enough food, and drinks are available the whole time, including with lunch, of course. You get still and sparkling water, beer, wine and juice. After lunch, we continued to our last stop, which was near Lumbarda!

FOURTH STOP – LUMBARDA SWIM STOP

We had great weather, so our last stop was also a swimming stop, near Bilin Zal Beach in Lumbarda. We had around 40 minutes here, but honestly, we were so full from lunch and quite tired that we didn’t leave the boat this time.

That’s the fun thing about this tour, you can enjoy it even if you don’t want to get off the boat. Many people still had plenty of energy, so some of them even jumped off the top of the boat into the sea and were basically entertainment for the rest of us! We sat back and enjoyed some really delicious watermelon slices in the meantime. After that, we finished our tour back in Korcula.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE DOING THIS KORCULA BOAT TRIP

The tour itinerary may change depending on the weather. You might not stop at exactly the same places as we did because the wind can affect the route. This is clearly stated on their website, but even if you skip some of our stops and get a few new ones, they’ll still be amazing. The whole point of this tour is to explore the smaller islands and hidden bays, and there are plenty of them around Korcula.

You really don’t have to take much with you. You’ll have plenty of food and drinks on the boat, including water, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, fruit, and lunch. There’s no need to bring your own food, so you can pack very lightly.

The main things you’ll need are sunscreen, because you’ll be in the sun a lot, sunglasses, a bathing suit, a hat, and your own snorkelling gear if you prefer using your own instead of the gear provided on the boat.

CONCLUSION: MY EXPERIENCE OF THE KORCULA BOAT TRIP

This is a tour I’d recommend to everyone! It’s fun, friendly, full of laughter, great food, plenty of drinks, and most importantly, it’s all about enjoying the stunning sea.

For anyone who wants to experience more than just Korcula, this is exactly the kind of tour you need to do. While it’s really fun to explore the beaches around Korcula, if you don’t have a car or don’t have the time to do it all yourself, you can experience a lot in one day with this tour.

It’s perfect for couples, families with children, and even older travellers because you get to relax a lot and you don’t have to swim at every stop. At the same time, if you’re looking for a tour that gives you plenty of swimming opportunities, you’ll absolutely love it. I highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a boat trip from Korcula because we loved it!
