If you’re looking for a fun and adventurous activity on the island, this Korcula buggy tour is definitely a must-do!

We’ve visited Korcula quite a few times, and we always used to see groups of people driving around the island on buggies, having the best time. This time, we finally got the chance to experience it ourselves thanks to our collaboration with Korkyra INFO agency, the main organiser of these amazing tours.

We joined their 4-hour adventure tour, which takes you all around the island, from regular roads and smaller local paths to exciting off-road trails where you can really have fun. Along the way, there are also some great stops where you can enjoy a drink, go for a swim, and simply take in the beautiful surroundings.

WHAT IS A BUGGY TOUR?

A buggy tour on Korcula is an off-road sightseeing adventure where you drive (or ride as a passenger) in a two-seater or four-seater buggy through parts of the island you wouldn’t normally reach by car. You’ll drive along dirt roads, through vineyards, olive groves, forests, and beautiful viewpoints, discovering a more hidden side of Korcula. It’s honestly one of the most fun and unique experiences on the island, and something I highly recommend trying!

WHICH BUGGY TOUR ON KORCULA TO BOOK?

While there are a few buggy tour operators on Korcula, Korkyra INFO Agency is definitely the most popular one on the island. They have a large number of buggies available, including both two-seaters and four-seaters, so you can enjoy the tour as a couple, family, or group of friends. They’ve been running these tours for a long time and have built an excellent reputation, with an impressive 4.7 review score!

They offer two different tours depending on what kind of experience you’re looking for. The shorter option takes around 2 hours and is perfect if you want some adventure without spending half a day on the tour. You’ll drive through olive groves and vineyards, enjoy beautiful coastal viewpoints, and have a swim stop at Vela Przina Beach. You’ll also get a free professionally filmed video of your ride, which is such a great memory to take home!

The second option is a 4-hour adventure tour and the one we did. It’s a bit more exciting, with an additional beach stop and an off-road section where you’ll drive through dusty trails and really have some fun. If you’re travelling with children, both tours are suitable, even the off-road part isn’t too intense and kids should enjoy it!

WHAT’S THE PRICE OF THE KORCULA BUGGY TOUR?

The shorter and more relaxing buggy tour costs €70 per person, while the longer adventure tour costs €75 per person. I would definitely recommend choosing the longer one because the price difference is so small, but you get additional stops and a more complete experience.

KORCULA BUGGY TOUR ITINERARY:

This is what the tour usually looks like. You’ll start around 10 am and finish around 2 pm, with around 2.5 hours of actual driving. The rest of the time is reserved for relaxing stops, including the beach break and the wine and local produce tasting. The itinerary below shows exactly how the tour goes and what you can expect during your buggy adventure!

STARTING POINT: KORKYRA INFO AGENCY

You’ll start your tour at the Korkyra INFO Agency base, where the buggies are located. You can easily walk there from Korcula Old Town in around 20 minutes. If you’re staying outside the old town, the agency also offers free pick-up and drop-off within a 5-kilometre radius of Korcula Town, making it even easier to join the tour.

Once you arrive at the agency, you’ll get a short briefing on how to use the buggy and all the safety instructions before starting your adventure. After that, you’ll be ready to go and explore Korcula!

FIRST STOP – VIEWPOINT

Your first stop will be a beautiful viewpoint in Lumbarda. To get there, you’ll have around a 10-minute buggy ride along the main road and smaller narrow paths, so the adventure starts almost immediately. At the viewpoint, you’ll enjoy incredible views over the sea and the surrounding area. You’ll also hear a short story about Lumbarda and learn more about what makes this small village so special.

SECOND STOP – VELA PRZINA BEACH

You’ll continue driving to Vela Przina Beach, one of the most popular beaches on Korcula because it’s one of the rare sandy beaches in Croatia. Here, you’ll have around 30-40 minutes to relax, so you can go for a swim, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, or sit down at the beach bar and grab a cold drink to refresh before continuing the adventure.

THIRD STOP – EXCITING OFF-ROAD DRIVE

The third part of the tour isn’t really a stop, but it’s definitely one of the highlights. This is where you’ll get to experience the off-road driving section, which is exciting, adventurous, and a little bit dusty! You’ll drive through vineyards, bushes, and forest paths, exploring parts of Korcula that you wouldn’t normally see. This was honestly the most fun part of the tour and the moment when you really get to enjoy the buggy experience!

FOURTH STOP – BEACH BAR PEYTON

Next, you’ll arrive at an incredible small beach bar that I didn’t even know existed, and it completely charmed me! Beach Bar Peyton is a small, hidden spot located on a crystal-clear beach, with a few comfortable sun loungers if you want to stay and relax for longer.

As part of the tour, you’ll spend around 30 minutes here, which is the perfect amount of time for a refreshing swim and a cold drink. However, I have a feeling that once you discover this place, you’ll want to come back and spend a whole day here!

FIFTH STOP – WINE AND LOCAL PRODUCE TASTING AT ADRIA WINERY

Finally, not only do you get an amazing buggy adventure, but the tour also ends with around 40 minutes of wine and local produce tasting. You’ll get to try some truly exceptional local products, from honey and homemade jams to liquors, grappa, wine, and traditional foods like sausages and cheese.

I think this is such a great addition to the experience because you get the perfect combination – an exciting and adventurous drive around the island, followed by a relaxing time enjoying local food and drinks!

IS KORCULA BUGGY TOUR WORTH THE MONEY?

Absolutely! You get an excellent half-day experience where you spend around 4 hours discovering much more of Korcula than you would if you only stayed in the old town. The tour is incredibly fun and gives you a completely different perspective of the island, all while driving around in a buggy and exploring places you probably wouldn’t find on your own.

The 40-minute tasting at the end is also a huge bonus and honestly worth the money by itself. Since it’s included in the tour price, I think this experience is more than fairly priced for everything you get. I would definitely recommend adding this Korcula buggy tour to your itinerary!

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE BOOKING THIS TOUR:

Obviously, you’ll need a valid driver’s licence for this tour. The buggies are available as two-seaters and four-seaters, so only one person in the couple or group needs to drive, but you cannot join the tour as a driver without a licence.

Make sure you dress appropriately! Wear something light and comfortable, closed shoes, plenty of sunscreen, and sunglasses because you’re in an open vehicle and these things are honestly essential. If you’re someone who loves wearing small stylish sunglasses, bring a bigger pair instead. You’ll get quite a bit of dust and dirt in your eyes during the off-road part. Trust me, I learned this the hard way!

If you’re travelling with children under 12, they get 50% off, which makes this a great family activity. The roads are exciting and fun, but they’re not too intense, so kids should have an amazing time as well.

We absolutely loved this experience! We’ve visited Korcula quite a few times before, but we never managed to dedicate half a day to this tour, and I’m honestly so happy we finally did it.
