Hello all!
I am planning a trip to Croatia for this late spring/summer and was wanting to get some insight on weather and how open things may be. The two timeframes that work for us are May 14-23 and June 11-20. May is drastically cheaper ($850 less PER TICKET🤯) and more accommodation options at this point. We do really want to go swimming and do island hopping as well as eat at great restaurants by the water. Is there going to be a drastic difference in temperature and food options in that 2-3 weeks between my potential dates?? Any insight would be amazing!!

Hey, I would definitely recommend may as you are coming mid to end of May which usually has good warm weather and if you dont mind colder sea temps you can go for a swim. Locals tend to swim even from April but many regard May as a great time to go to the coastline due to less people, better prices as you mentioned as well.

All restaurants and tourist establishments will be open from start of May so you dont have to worry about that. There is not a drastic difference in temp, the thing is the sea didnt have time to warm up so will feel colder in May, the outside temps will be similar just for the sea takes longer, that's why you can get lower temps in October /Nov but the sea still be perfect for swimming as it still hasnt cooled down from the summer. Swimming in October is popular in Dubrovnik, Hvar, Mljet etc. southern part of Croatia.
