Planning a Croatia vacation (Dubrovnik + maybe Split). What are the biggest things I should know before I go?

I’m going to a vacation in Croatia in late June for 5 days with my partner. We have a mid-range budget (not backpacking, not luxury). We’re into beaches, good food, scenic views and some light sightseeing, but not really into heavy partying. Currently thinking about Dubrovnik and maybe Split, but open to any suggestions or changes.

Hey, both Dubrovnik and Split are great bases from which you can do day trips or island hopping. I would still suggest that you try to spend few nights on either Korcula, Hvar or Brac on your way to Split. This is easy to do with a ferry. Hvar is more popular with young people and partying so if you want more quiet go for Korcula or Brac, both great locations for families and plenty of nice beaches. Korcula has sandy beaches in Lumbarda! In 5 Days you could stay 2 in Dubrovnik 2 on an island and 1 in Split, thats how I would separate my days. Check guide pages below with more info made by local
