Hello! Looking for help with my itinerary, any tips appreciated.
We will be flying out of LHR and arriving in Dubrovnik, spending 4 nights here. Is Cavtat the better option? We will have a toddler and baby. Debating doing day into Bosnia as well depending on how the kids are doing but they do love the car and long drives are never an issue for us.
Then driving from Dubrovnik to Trogir, picked to stay here instead of Split since it’s cheaper and quieter. Staying here for 4 nights. We want to do a day at Krka as well.
Then flying out of Split back to LHR.
Hey, Cavtat is not a bad option if you want to have a more relaxing vacation and then when you go to the old town you can expect crowds, there are also easy options for a beach in Cavtat. Check guides below:

If you want something even better but not as easy to reach as Cavtat that would be Lopud. 45 minutes away with a ferry from Dubrovnik, only thing you would need to park your car while you are on the island as the island has no cars but has plenty of sandy beaches, really great for kids, locals from Dubrovnik go there to relax so thats all you need to know.

Driving to Bosnia, specifically Mostar is easy and not a hard trip and on the way you can stop at Kravice waterfall too cool off and its a great place for kids.

There is also plenty of things to see around Dubrovnik and on your way to Trogir, I would suggest stopping at Ston for fresh sea food, specifically oyster farm and also the second longest wall in the world.

Road Trip from Split to Dubrovnik (Best stops along the way)
Similar to Cavtat Trogir is a great option instead of Split, similar as Omis or anywhere on Makarska riviera. I would suggest driving up the Makarska riviera if you dont mind long drives just beacuse the road is very scenic. If not you can use the highway all the way up to Split and then exit so you can reach Trogir.

I would suggest while in Trogir or Dubrovnik to grab a ferry and visit island like Brac, Hvar or Korcula for a day trip. You can also take your car on the ferry to explore better, here are your options:
