We're staying in Old Town Dubrovnik for a couple nights in early October. Does anyone have any good restaurant recommendations within Old Town or within walking distance?

I’m still in Croatia and left Dubrovnick a few days ago. Carmen trattoria was excellent but they don’t take resos and we waited in line for 20 mins. Arsenal looked beautiful but didn’t get resos there. Book asap if you can get in. The restaurant panorama at the top of the hill from the gondola was also excellent for lunch. Didn’t even need a reso but it was already fully booked for dinner. Taj Mahal is decent but I don’t think I ordered the right thing. Everyone else’s food looked so good.
I’ll second this… trattoria Carmen is incredible
The truffle shrimp pasta may be the best pasta I’ve ever had, Including ones I’ve had in Italy. And I’m not a big shrimp fan.
Taj Mahal was also solid
Favorite seafood was at Stara Loza. You should be able to make a same day reservation. They had a beautiful rooftop terrace where we had dinner. Menu changes depending on what’s freshest. Fantastic wait staff as well.

We were there in August and liked Rozario for lunch or dinner. Arsenal in the harbor was also nice. Enjoy your stay!
Do you recommend lunch or dinner at Arsenal? I see that it's open all day, the view looks amazing. Is it necessary to request certain tables?
We had no problem getting a lovely table for lunch and the sun on the harbor was beautiful. Dinner is busier, I think.
Thank you! I tried booking a table but it seems to be fully booked for the next two weeks. They had asked me to just go directly to try my luck.🤞🤞 perhaps I will try to go at lunch!
We had trouble getting a res a few weeks ago - showed up anyways and immediately got sat at a table with a great view.
Restaurant More is recommended in the blog post but you've been warned: I went there a couple days ago for dinner including fish and oysters and I'm suffering from Norovirus since and puking my guts out the last two days of my vacation. They must not have very good sanitation.
It was definitely the restaurant because I only ate a very standard breakfast of bread, etc earlier that day (no lunch). The next morning comes and I'm puking into the toilet for hours straight.
