I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times, but what would be the best car rental company for driving Croatia? I'm thinking Hertz, but I see Sixt a lot. Any recommendations? I did scroll down and couldn't see any in this thread, but I'm sorry if I'm asking something that's asked all the time.
Hey I rented several times with Oryx and Enterprise, never had any issues.

I rented with Enterprise at the Zagreb airport. Picked up and returned to same location. No issues. One thing to be aware of is the deposit required at the time of rental. I think it was $500 USD for Enterprise. Others were as much as $1500 usd. It was refunded without issue upon return, but fyi.
We also used Enterprise. We rented in Dubrovnik and returned it in Zagreb. Deposit was a thing too, and promptly refunded. But the rate was great.
I rented from Avia at the Zagreb airport, they were great and gave us a free upgrade to a better vehicle
Can you drive to Bosnia or Slovenia if you rent from Zagreb airport?
I rented from Sixt and had zero issues. I picked up at the Zagreb “bus station,” which was about a 10 minute walk from the actual bus station. But my train was late and I picked up after hours- they waited for me and were super helpful. I dropped off in Split and it was easy.
