Every summer, Dubrovnik welcomes thousands of young tourists just wanting to have the best holiday ever! They love the historical charm of Dubrovnik, but they also want to spend their nights partying. If you are one of those people, have no worries! Dubrovnik is quite lively at night with several clubs, bars, and pubs, so you’ll definitely have plenty of options for your night out!

Looking at the size of Dubrovnik you may think the variety of nightlife experiences won’t be significant, but Dubrovnik’s nightlife scene has something for everyone.

PUBS IN DUBROVNIK

Let’s start with the most famous and loved pubs in the city. There are many pubs scattered around the city, each with its own unique atmosphere and charm. Whether you’re in the mood for a cozy and intimate spot or a lively and energetic bar, Dubrovnik has something to offer. Here are our top 3 pubs you need to add to your list.

KARAKA

Irish pub Karaka is the oldest and, according to many, the best pub in Dubrovnik. Situated in the heart of the old city, Karaka is visited by both locals and tourists. The time of your visit doesn’t matter in Karaka, you can drink your morning coffee or your late night cocktail in this pub, and both will be equally good. The pub is known for its amazing live music and good food so don’t miss out on this experience when you’re in Dubrovnik.

THE GAFFE

Along with Karaka, the Gaffe is another amazing pub in the old town of Dubrovnik. Both locals and tourists love this place so much that they have 2 locations in the city – you can find them on Google maps under the Gaffe and the Gaffe 2. These pubs offer incredible food, charming interior, and really great drinks. If you love sports and want to catch a game while on your holiday, the Gaffe is the pub for you!

FONTANA

Fontana is a pub only a few meters from Stradun and many people adore it for very reasonable drink and food prices. You can visit it at any point during the day but It’s an especially great place for a night out as it always has live music. If great drinks and lovely interior are on your list, you shouldn’t miss out on Fontana.

PUB CRAWL

If you don’t want to rack your brain to choose the best spot for your night out, you can always do a pub crawl. If you want to do it by yourself go on and visit all the pubs we’ve mentioned.

REVELIN

Have you ever partied in a fifth century fortress? Well, that exactly what you’ll do in Culture Club Revelin. Recognized as one of the best clubs in the world, Revelin is a perfect mix of a modern and historical setting.

The club is situated inside of Dubrovnik’s city walls in the fortress Revelin. While closed during the rest of the year, each summer Revelin becomes one of the most iconic clubs in the world. Many celebrities come to party there and each year many famous DJs come to perform. To be honest, the music in Revelin is really not my favourite (EDM) but the atmosphere is great. If you’re in Dubrovnik, this club must be number one on your list!

ELYX

Elyx is situated just outside of Dubrovnik’s city walls, right at the Pile gate. The vibes of the place are awesome, the club is very loved so it’s fairly crowded but people are dancing and having fun all throughout the night.

The music is usually recent and throwback pop, and by the end of the night you will hear an occasional Croatian song. The drinks are good and not too expensive and overall I would definitely recommend this club for a night out!

MILK

One of the newer clubs in Dubrovnik is Milk. In the middle of the old town of Dubrovnik you can find their first official LGBT-friendly club (not that others aren’t). Milk found inspiration in the famous London club Annabel’s and it’s one of the most modern clubs in Croatia.

Filled with mirrors, velvet, and colourful flowers, the interior of the club is extremely unique on the Croatian club scene. It’s got great music, delicious cocktails, and the atmosphere is great!

LAZARETI

Lazareti is one of the most well-known clubs in Dubrovnik and you should check it out if you like electronic music. The club is situated in the old town. Moreover, the entrance fee is free so all you have to do is show up, grab a drink, and party. The club has indoor and outdoor places to party and along electronic music you can find pop/dance on the club’s set list.

MY PERSONAL TAKE ON DUBROVNIK NIGHTLIFE

Dubrovnik is actually great for a night out. Personally, I think Revelin is the most visually impressive club, but I’m not a big fan of the music there and it’s also very expensive. Elyx was quite fun when I last visited, although I haven’t been there since 2023, so I’m not sure what it’s like now. Milk is definitely the most fun option, especially for a girls’ night out!
