Playa Benijo is perhaps the most beautiful beach on the island, so visiting this incredible viewpoint is just a must-do. Benijo beach is closed off from public due to rock sediments falling off cliffs, making it unsafe. However, even just seeing it from the viewpoint is absolutely breathtaking, and I would highly recommend it.
HOW TO REACH IT/PARKING:
There’s quite a crowd at this viewpoint all throughout the day, so getting a parking spot can be tricky. There are 2-3 smaller parking lots available, and there’s usually someone there to collect a euro or two for parking there. It’s totally worth giving a few euros for parking because the views here are truly unmatched.

It’s absolutely incredible as it offers visitors a unique landscape full of dark, obsidian-rich rocks. You’ll truly feel like you’re on another planet here!

Just drive down the TF-21 road towards the cable car. Once you reach it there’s a small parking lot where you can stop. The parking lot is often quite crowded so you might have to wait, but it’s worth it.
MIRADOR DE LA RULETA *

WHERE IS IT:
Teide NP, near Visitors’ Centre
WHY VISIT:
Mirador de La Ruleta is the most popular viewpoint in Teide National Park. The viewpoint is famous for its proximity to the Roques de García, a series of volcanic rock formations, with the most prominent being “Roque Cinchado,” often referred to as the “Finger of God.”
There are several different vantage points from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of these rock formations, and it’s the most beautiful spot in the park.
HOW TO REACH IT/PARKING:
Continue driving down the TF-21 road, there’s plenty of parking but this viewpoint is the most popular in the whole NP, which means it’s a nightmare finding a parking spot. The crowd moves quickly though, so if you come and there’s no parking, just wait until someone leaves.
ZAPATO DE LA REINA VIEWPOINT

WHERE IS IT:
TF-21 road, after Visitor’s Centre
WHY VISIT:
This amazing viewpoint is called “Zapato de la Reina” because the rock formation there resembles a high-heeled shoe. You’ll also enjoy amazing views of the landscape around you, which looks truly otherworldly!
HOW TO REACH IT/PARKING:
Drive towards it along TF-21 road. There’s a small parking lot where you can stop and usually it’s not crowded, so it should be an easy stop.
MIRADOR POR TEIDE

WHERE IS IT:
Near Santiago del Teide
WHY VISIT:
This viewpoint is located along the road near Santiago del Teide and offers incredible views of Mount Teide, especially during sunset. There’s nothing else to do there, just stop and snap a few photos of the magnificent mountain. You can also visit another viewpoint close by called Mirador del Teide, but I think Mirador por Teide has a bit of a better view!
HOW TO REACH IT/PARKING:
To reach it, just get off the main road. This viewpoint is the size of a bus station so there’s no space for more than 2-3 cars, but people usually spend 5 minutes here, so the cars change rapidly.
MIRADOR PUNTA DE TENO *

WHERE IS IT:
Teno Rural Park
WHY VISIT:
Punta de Teno was one of our favorite attractions on this island, so of course the viewpoint was just as wonderful. This viewpoint gives you a unique view of Los Gigantes cliffs from a different perspective and the stunning lighthouse perched on a cliff there. At Punta de Teno you can enjoy this viewpoint, and many others while walking through the Teno Rural Park.
HOW TO REACH IT/PARKING:
You can reach Punta de Teno by bus from Buenavista del Norte throughout the day or by taxi. Private cars have restricted access.
MIRADOR ROGER PIEDRA GORDA *

WHERE IS IT:
Punta Brava, Puerto de la Cruz
WHY VISIT:
Punta Brava is the most picturesque part of Puerto de la Cruz, and seeing it from this viewpoint will prove that. The colorful houses and buildings of Punta Brava paired with the Atlantic Ocean look especially magical during sunset, but this viewpoint is worth visiting any time of the day. Make sure you visit the Punta Brava promenade which is perfect for a walk by the ocean.
HOW TO REACH IT/PARKING:
You can easily reach it by driving, or even on foot if you’re staying at Puerto de la Cruz. If you’re by car, there’s plenty of free street parking only a couple of meters from the viewpoint.
