Will be traveling with a 3yr old and 6mon old in mid April. Wondering what would be one to two good place to stop to breakup drive along the way?

I have Mostar and Kravica waterfall on my radar, but how hard is it to cross the border?

Open to other suggestions too 🙂 TIA!

Hey, crossing the border to BiH was very easy when we went in August, in April it will also be very easy as there arent that many tourists and its not a bad day trip but I wouldn't call it a stop over as it prolongs the trip alot. Check what we did in the guides below:

Day Trip Dubrovnik to Mostar Guide (Car, Bus or Tour)

Kravica Waterfall day trip from Dubrovnik: A Complete Guide

Locations that you could stop and I would recommend is Ston, and after that you can either drive directly to Split after that or also visit Makarska but this would require you to drive on the coastal road which is beautiful but a windy road with usually slow traffic and plenty of speed cameras.

One perfect day in Ston (Longest wall in Europe, second after Great Chinese wall, and a great stop on your way to Dubrovnik)

My suggestion would be to stop at Ston, stop to sightsee the bridge and then get off the high way to sightsee Omis and drive to Split as Omis is not a long distance from Split and its all in the direction you are driving in, not detouring.
