My boyfriend and I are travelling to Split tomorrow and we’re trying to think of things to do that are ideally cheap-ish, just not expensive, but worth doing.
We’ve already got an island tour and going for a local self walking tour but is there anything to see. We are staying in the old town so if it’s a bit further away then we’re happy to travel there. Any recs???
Hi!
Definitely cover the old town as much as you can. Check out Marjan Hill, or at least the first viewpoint you can reach, the rest is closed for now. Explore the beaches (bring your food/drinks/towels). You can do a day trip to Trogir for less than 5 euros per person, and there again you can walk through the old town and enjoy the beaches. I'd still recommend visiting at least one island for a whole day - either Hvar or Brac, you can check which ferry ticket price fits better within your budget.
If you will need any other city guides, restaurant guides, sightseeing, beaches check this subs Megathread here which has all links compiled or this CROATIA TRAVEL GUIDE.
