I wanted to know what’s the best way to travel from Croatia to Bosnia. I’m planning to either go from Dubrovnik or Split? Also, is it a good idea to rent a car and take it to Bosnia? Is border crossing by land an issue?

Hi! Do you mean a day trip to Bosnia or for longer? If you're looking for a day trip, from both Split and Dubrovnik the most popular ones are Mostar and Kravica Waterfall.

It's quite an easy day trip, you can do it by bus, car, or by a guided tour. We did it by car from Dubrovnik and it was really easy. You wouldn't have a problem with a rental car, but you might have to pay extra for leaving the country with the car. If you don't want to bother, you can book quite affordable guided tours to Mostar on GetYourGuide.
