Hey we are two couples visiting Croatia during winters from Dec 27 to Jan 4th. Had planned to be in Dubrovnik, Split, Plitvice and Zagreb. We love nightlife and music. Any suggestions A. where we should spend our New Year Eve B. Is staying one night a good idea in Plitvice
Hey, out of all mentioned locations Zagreb would be the easiest for new years, as you can find plenty of locations to go out, bars and restaurants working along with a really nice Christmas market happening in Zagreb. Heres more info:

On your day before leaving for Zagreb check the weather and status on the highway as you can sometimes expect snowy conditions in Gorski Kotar which can make the travel longer, also high wind can close bridges so check for that in advance, you can always check highway cameras here:

Regarding nightlife you can read more here but best options in the winter time is Split and Zagreb and I would personally pick Zagreb just because it has more to offer during winter time.
